Coupled Power Inductors

Coupled power inductors can significantly reduce size and improve circuit efficiency. In a coupled inductor, the two windings are wound around a common magnetic core. this allows L1 and L2 to be magnetically coupled to transfer the energy stored in the magnetic core between the two coils. These compact coupled power inductors have large saturation currents, they are used in a variety of applications including industrial controls, servers, infotainment systems, portable and handheld devices.
